The UNLA Board has prepared amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Lobbying” and announced a call for proposals
The Board of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association (UNLA) has prepared a package of amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Lobbying”—a key piece of legislation that currently governs the lobbying market and the activities of lobbyists in Ukraine.
The law was adopted through an expedited legislative process, which resulted in a number of conceptual and technical gaps. Over the course of a year of practical application, a significant number of shortcomings have been identified that require systematic revisions.
With the aim of improving the quality of legal regulation and establishing an effective and transparent lobbying market, the UNLA Board has prepared corresponding amendments to the law. At the same time, the Association is initiating an open consultation process with the professional community.
All lobbyists, representatives of the business community, the legal community, and other interested parties may submit their comments and proposals regarding the current legislation. The proposals received will be reviewed and incorporated into the consolidated draft amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Lobbying.”
Deadline for submitting proposals: September 30
Email address for submitting proposals and comments: [email protected]
The time has come for a systematic overhaul of the law. Consolidating the market’s professional stance is a necessary prerequisite for developing an effective lobbying model in Ukraine.
