The National Association of Lobbyists was established in Ukraine.

As Oleksiy Shevchuk, a member of the association, told Interfax-Ukraine, the professional association “is intended to become a single regulator of the industry and the basis for the future profession of lobbyist.”

The association also includes attorneys Olga Prosyanyuk, Oleksandr Leshchenko, and Oleksandr Chernykh, the Chairman of the National Association of Insolvency Practitioners, attorney Oleksandr Bondarchuk, and Artem Samorodov.

Mr. Shevchuk reminded that the Lobbyist Transparency Register, stipulated by the law on lobbying, officially started operating in Ukraine on September 1.

The Association already has representative offices in London and Zurich.

“The National Association of Lobbyists of Ukraine is a step forward towards a culture of transparent promotion of draft laws and professional standards of business representation in the government,” Shevchuk emphasized.
