The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association was launched in Ukraine

The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association (UNLA) has officially started working in Ukraine. Attorney Oleksiy Shevchuk, who also chaired the lobbying committee at the National Bar Association of Ukraine, was elected chairman of the organization’s board.

The Board includes well-known lawyers: Olha Prosyanyuk, Oleksandr Leshchenko, Oleksandr Chernykh and Oleksandr Bondarchuk. The Association already has offices in London, Zurich and Brussels.

On September 16, the official presentation of the UNLA will take place at the Interfax-Ukraine agency. After that, the first working group is scheduled to start developing standards for lobbyists in Ukraine.

“Today, lawyers have actually started a new profession – lobbyist. Our goal is to create clear and transparent rules for working in this area. Business, MPs, civil servants and diplomats should know that the Ukrainian Lobbyists Association is a civilized way to build a democratic state,” Oleksiy Shevchuk emphasized.

He called on the legal community to unite to develop a new profession and emphasized that lobbying is a civilized investment in the country’s future.
