Lobbyists demand that Minister Fedorov publish certificates and data from the Transparency Register in Diia
The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association (UNLA) has supported the initiative of the Lobbying Committee of the Ukrainian National Bar Association (UNBA ) to introduce digital identification of lobbyists through the Diia application.
The Committee addressed the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and Minister Mykhailo Fedorov personally with a proposal to integrate the Transparency Register maintained by the NACP with state digital services.
The introduction of electronic lobbyist IDs will allow:
- to officially confirm the powers of registered lobbyists when interacting with the authorities;
- simplify the identification of lobbying subjects;
- increase transparency and trust in the profession.
Previously, there was no such possibility, which made it difficult to officially recognize lobbying activities at the state level.
“This is a very important initiative. I am grateful to my fellow attorneys who work with us and spend their time developing the lobbying profession. Let’s move forward,” said Oleksiy Shevchuk, attorney at law and Chairman of the UNLA Board.
The Ukrainian Lobbyists’ Association emphasizes that digital integration of the profession with public services is an integral part of building a transparent and ethical lobbying market in Ukraine, in line with European standards.
