UNLA starts working on a case of high civic importance: the importance of lobbying for public policy
Today, on November 21, 2025, Oleksiy Shevchuk, Chairman of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association (UNLA), held the first official meeting to mark the start of work on a new lobbying case. The meeting was also attended by Fedir Shulzhenko, Doctor of Political Science, Professor, which emphasizes the scientific and socially significant approach to the initiative. This initiative was identified as one that is of crucial civic importance for social development.

The launch of such a socially oriented case study confirms that professional lobbying in Ukraine goes beyond purely economic or corporate interests and becomes a full-fledged tool for representing national needs.
In developed democracies, lobbying is recognized as an integral element of a transparent and effective decision-making process.
The significance of the current initiative for the UNLA Institute
The involvement of the UNLA in lobbying for a case of high civic importance is emphasized:
Expanding the initiative: The Association demonstrates its readiness to use professional knowledge and resources to support initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of civil society.

Setting ethical standards: This case study will serve as an example of how legal and ethical lobbying mechanisms can be effectively used to achieve the public good.
The start of the UNLA’s work on this case is an important indicator of the maturity of the Ukrainian lobbying institution. This confirms that professional lobbying is not only a technical tool, but also an important component of modern democracy that ensures public hearing and the quality of public policy.
