A working meeting was held between the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association and the European Business Association’s profile committee dealing with lobbying issues

The meeting was devoted to the formation of future cooperation in the development of high-quality standards for the lobbying profession in Ukraine.

We took part in it:

• Oleksiy Shevchuk, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association,
• Vitaliya Globa is the Executive Director of the UNLA,
• representatives of the European Business Association – Andrii Pidhainyi and Viktoriia Kulykova.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key approaches to the formation of a new lobbyist profession as an element of transparent interaction between business and the state, as well as the need to jointly develop standards for professional training, ethics and qualifications of specialists.

This meeting was the first in a series of systematic working meetings between one of the country’s largest business associations and a specialized lobbying association to lay the foundation for a civilized, European lobbying services market in Ukraine.

The next step is to work together on the architecture of the new profession, which must meet European standards of transparency, responsibility, and trust.
