UNLA has drafted more than 30 bills over the past year, and more than 20 have already been submitted to Parliament
The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association has summarized the results of the year’s work in the areas of institutional lobbying and the drafting of legislative initiatives.
Within the framework of the UNLA platform, more than 30 bills were drafted during this period, with Ukrainian lobbyists working on them. The association provided a full range of infrastructure support—from expert guidance and coordination to creating the conditions for engagement with parliament.
As a result, 24 legislative initiatives were developed in collaboration with members of parliament and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. UNLA notes that this figure is high, given that the lobbying profession is still in its infancy in Ukraine.
The association also actively collaborates with European institutions and is developing an approach to preparing legislative packages, which allows for the systematic promotion of initiatives at the national level.
Among the most notable cases is a bill to prohibit the identification of attorneys with their clients. The initiative went through the entire process: from drafting and submission to deliberation in parliamentary committees, as well as advocacy and media campaigns. Ultimately, it received 271 votes in the Verkhovna Rada and is currently awaiting the President of Ukraine’s signature.
UNLA emphasizes that all processes are carried out through transparent mechanisms: lobbyists work with formal requests, draft legislative proposals, and submit them to lawmakers for consideration without any element of corruption.
The results obtained demonstrate the effectiveness of the transparent lobbying model and confirm that the relevant mechanisms are already in place and yielding practical results in Ukraine.
