EU Enlargement Forum 2025

Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association is represented at the EU Enlargement Forum 2025 in Brussels

On November 18, 2025, the EU Enlargement Forum was held in Brussels: Completing the Union, Securing Our Future – a key platform of the European Commission on the future enlargement of the European Union. In this context, our representative, lobbyist Denys Keshkentiy, acting on behalf of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, took an active part in the forum, which emphasizes the international orientation of our organization.

The forum, which was held under the slogan “Completing the Union, Securing Our Future,” aimed to bring together heads of state, EU representatives, experts, youth, civil society and the business sector for a joint discussion on the future of EU enlargement. The event focused on key topics such as the geopolitical necessity of enlargement, the role of reforms in the candidate countries, the participation of citizens and regions in the processes, and the strategy for strengthening the common space of security, economic development and values.

In his role as a representative of the Association, Denys Keshkentii emphasized the importance of integrating the Ukrainian lobbying environment into the European communication network:

“As a Ukrainian team, we need to be represented where decisions are made. Our task is to convey the position of Ukrainian business and civil society to European politics, to make the voice of Ukrainian lobbying visible and legitimate.”

Our Association has already been registered in the European Union’s Transparency Register, which opens up the possibility of public, legal and transparent activities at the EU level. This creates a platform for representing the interests of Ukrainian stakeholders outside of Ukraine.

It is important that participation in an event of this level demonstrates the EBA’s strategic approach to the development of representative offices in various European jurisdictions. In addition to the Netherlands, plans are being implemented to have a presence in other regions, which allows us to establish direct contacts, participate in projects and networks, and form partnerships – instead of a single event, this is a long-term policy.

The focus on international forums has a clear goal: to increase the visibility of Ukrainian lobbying, promote standards of transparency, development and professionalism, and thus make lobbying in Ukraine a mirror of European practices. Participation in the EU Enlargement Forum 2025 is another step towards enabling Ukrainian institutions and representatives to influence decisions that determine the future course of Europe.

We urge our members and partners to actively join the EBA initiatives, follow further activities in Europe, and use new opportunities for cooperation. Together, we create a network effect where Ukraine’s voice is heard in the international space – and this increases our influence, our presence and our capacity.
