Lobbyists urge the Ministry of Digital Transformation to simplify identification procedures through Diia
The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association has called on the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to immediately simplify the procedures for confirming the identity of lobbyists when interacting with public officials and to digitize a number of bureaucratic processes through the Diia app.
Due to the growing number of cases of professional interaction between lobbyists and representatives of state and local authorities, the current procedures for obtaining and submitting documents remain overly complicated, require additional time and create an excessive administrative burden on the parties to the process.
According to the UNLA, modern digital tools can significantly simplify the procedures for confirming the identity of a lobbyist, as well as automate the generation of the necessary extracts and supporting documents without additional bureaucratic procedures.
The Association emphasizes that the development of lobbying in Ukraine requires not only high-quality legislative regulation, but also the creation of convenient digital services for the profession. That is why the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association is initiating an urgent meeting with the Acting Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to discuss possible ways to simplify the relevant procedures.
The UNLA is convinced that digitalization of the lobbyist status confirmation process will help increase the transparency of the profession, reduce administrative barriers and develop a civilized market for representation of interests in Ukraine.
The lobbying profession should be accessible, modern, and convenient for everyone who works within the law and the principles of transparency.
