Training of lobbyists in accordance with international standards has been launched in Ukraine
The Higher School of Lobbying together with the Kyiv Ukrainian-Polish University announced the launch of systematic training of professional lobbyists in Ukraine in accordance with European and international standards. The initiative marks a new stage in the institutionalization of lobbying as a legitimate and regulated profession.
The educational program is being launched in the context of public policy reform and the introduction of legislative regulation of lobbying activities. The goal is to create a transparent mechanism for representing interests that is in line with the practices of the European Union and the G7 countries.
The training program is aimed at preparing specialists capable of working at the national and international levels. It combines legal, political and communication components and involves Ukrainian and international experts. Special emphasis is placed on the practices of the EU and the US, where lobbying is an integral part of the democratic process.
The academic partnership with the Kyiv Ukrainian-Polish University ensures the integration of educational standards and strengthens the interdisciplinary approach to training. This model is in line with the European tradition of teaching lobbying at the intersection of law, economics and public policy.
The key principles of the program are transparency, accountability, ethics and absence of conflict of interest. This is in line with international recommendations and is an important element of anti-corruption policy.
The establishment of the Higher School of Lobbying forms the basis for the development of a professional lobbying services market in Ukraine and promotes the country’s integration into the European political and economic space.
