UNLA at the Rotary event dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Chornobyl: dialogue with diplomats and development of ethical standards

The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association, represented by the Chairman of the Ethics Council Vasyl Kostytskyi and a member of the Ethics Council Violetta Sukhanova, was officially invited to the Rotary community to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster.

The event was organized by one of the largest Rotary clubs in Ukraine, Rotary Balzac-Kyiv, and brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, business, and civil society. We are honored to have had a meaningful conversation with the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, Austria, and other representatives of foreign countries.

NALU discusses lobbying ethics and international cooperation at Rotary event

During the meeting, the achievements of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association were presented, in particular in the field of ethical standards of the profession, development of institutional capacity of lobbying and implementation of the best international practices. Special attention was paid to the role of ethical regulation as a foundation of trust between the state, business and society.

An important outcome of the event was the outlining of prospects for joint initiatives between the Rotary community and the professional lobbying community. These include cooperation in the field of public diplomacy, support for international projects, and the development of platforms for constructive dialogue between Ukraine and its international partners.

Such meetings create not only a space for professional exchange, but also strengthen international relations, which are critically important for Ukraine today.
