The Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association held a fruitful meeting with representatives of the ULIE and the Embassy of Latvia in Ukraine
An important working meeting was held in Kyiv with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association, the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ULIE) and the Embassy of Latvia in Ukraine. The event was another step towards strengthening international cooperation between Ukrainian and Latvian businesses, developing professional dialogue and establishing effective interaction in the field of economic diplomacy.
The participants paid special attention to the role of the modern lobbying institution as an effective mechanism of communication between the state, business and international partners. The participants emphasized that professional, transparent and civilized lobbying today shapes the speed of decision-making, the quality of interaction and the real results for the business environment.
The meeting was attended by Galina Bukovska, Sectoral Advisor to the Ministry of Economy, Head of the Foreign Economic Representative Office of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) in Ukraine. The representative office operates at the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for developing partnerships between Ukrainian and Latvian entrepreneurs, as well as the importance of creating effective communication platforms for business representatives of both countries.
Representatives of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association emphasized that the institution of lobbying in the modern European format is an important tool for supporting international cooperation, developing business contacts and building a constructive dialogue between business and government institutions. For Latvian business representatives, this creates additional opportunities for effective interaction with Ukrainian partners, professional unions and industry associations.
The participants paid special attention to organizing joint seminars, information events and business meetings for Latvian business representatives. This includes specialized events aimed at familiarizing Latvian entrepreneurs with the peculiarities of Ukrainian legislation, mechanisms of interaction with government agencies, opportunities for partnership with Ukrainian companies, and modern tools for lobbying and advocacy of business interests.
They also discussed the prospects of creating permanent platforms for professional communication, organizing industry forums, roundtables and joint business events with the participation of Ukrainian and Latvian businesses.
A special moment of the meeting was the presentation of the letter of gratitude from the People of the Republic of Latvia to the Head of the Ukrainian National Lobbyists Association, Ms. Galyna Bukovska, for their long and consistent support of Ukraine during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The participants of the event noted that Latvia has been demonstrating sincere solidarity with the Ukrainian people since the first days of the war, supporting humanitarian, economic and international initiatives of Ukraine.
As a result of the meeting, the parties developed a common vision of further fruitful cooperation, development of a systematic dialogue between the business communities of Ukraine and Latvia, as well as implementation of joint educational and communication initiatives for international business representatives.
The participants expressed confidence that such cooperation will be an important element in strengthening international partnership, developing business ties and creating a new culture of interaction between business and the state based on the principles of openness, professionalism and mutual trust.
