The Federation of Professional Communities of the Anti-Corruption Infrastructure will bring together lobbyists, anti-corruption officers, compliance officers, and other experts to foster a culture of integrity in Ukraine.

A decision was made regarding the need to establish a Federation of Professional Communities for Anti-Corruption Infrastructure

Today, Ukraine is in the process of establishing a modern anti-corruption infrastructure that brings together various professions, institutions, and practices aimed at preventing corruption and ensuring transparency, accountability, and trust in the decision-making process. This system includes anti-corruption commissioners, compliance officers, auditors, specialists in internal control, risk management, ethics, and integrity, representatives of the public sector, experts, as well as lobbyists who operate openly, lawfully, and responsibly.

The profession of lobbyist holds a special place in the anti-corruption infrastructure. Legal lobbying ensures transparency in influencing the decision-making process, promotes the open disclosure of interests, establishes clear rules for communication between business, society, and the government, and helps prevent the covert promotion of private interests. That is why lobbyists who operate within the legal framework and adhere to integrity standards are important participants in the corruption prevention system, alongside other professional groups.

As this infrastructure takes shape, a number of challenges arise related to properly understanding the role of new professions, establishing professional standards, fostering a culture of transparent advocacy, ensuring reputational resilience, strengthening professional communication, and creating conditions for effective interaction between the government, the business community, and the public.

At the initiative of representatives of the National Association of Lobbyists of Ukraine, including Anti-Corruption Commissioner Yana Tsymbalenko, the issue of the need to consolidate the professional communities that form the state’s anti-corruption infrastructure was raised. Based on the results of consultations and discussions, a decision was made to establish a Federation of Trade Union Organizations of Anti-Corruption Infrastructure Entities. The Federation is intended to serve as a professional platform for uniting communities involved in the process of preventing corruption at the national, local, corporate, civic, and expert levels.

Its activities will be aimed at coordinating, supporting, and developing the professions that ensure the functioning of the anti-corruption infrastructure. This involves developing unified approaches to professional ethics, raising performance standards, fostering a culture of transparent lobbying, disseminating best practices, strengthening professional collaboration, and creating conditions for the proper performance of professional duties in the field of corruption prevention.

The Federation aims to bring together anti-corruption officers, compliance officers, lobbyists, and specialists in integrity, auditing, internal control, risk management, and other professional groups who work daily to strengthen transparency, legality, and trust in public and corporate decisions.

The creation of such a Federation is an important step toward the further development of Ukraine’s anti-corruption infrastructure, the strengthening of professional cooperation, and the establishment of a sustainable culture of integrity, accountability, and transparent representation of interests.
